We really are quite casual here folks, just a few rules please; No feather boas, no veils, no dress ups and limited table decorations. Please keep it tasteful!
CAN I BYO?
The Rook is a non-BYO venue, we have a fully licensed bar with an extensive drinks selection.
CAN I BRING A BIRTHDAY CAKE AND IS THERE A CHARGE?
You are more than welcome to bring a birthday cake, we do not charge for bringing your own cake.
WHAT DO YOU DO FOR BIRTHDAYS?
Please let your staff in venue know if it is your birthday, we will always make your visit extra special.

WHAT CARDS DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept all major credit cards or cash. A surcharge fee of 1% applies for all card payments.
HOW DO I START A BAR TAB?
A bar tab can be started with a credit card and a valid driver’s license or passport.
WHERE CAN I SMOKE?
The Rook has a designated smoking room at the back of the venue.
CAN I BRING MY DOG?
Unfortunately, we do not allow pets at The Rook.
DO YOU HAVE DISABLED ACCESS FOR ALL PARTS OF THE VENUE?
We have full disabled access at The Rook.
WHAT ARE YOUR OPENING HOURS?
Monday-Thursday 12pm – late
Friday-Saturday 12pm – Midnight
DO YOU CATER FOR DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?
Yes, we cater for dietary requirements. Please call our Reservations team to discuss your options, alternatively advise your waiter on the day.
DO YOU CATER FOR HALAL/KOSHER?
We are not a halal certified restaurant. However, some of our products are processed halal by the manufacturer. Our kitchens are unable to produce kosher meals but we would be happy for you to pre-order a kosher meal in advance of your visit to be delivered to the site. Please call our reservations team to discuss the most suitable options.
WHERE IS THE LOADING DOCK?
We do not have a designated loading dock. However, there is a loading zone parking available along York Street.
CAN I BRING CHILDREN TO THE VENUE?
Children are allowed to dine in the venue as long as they are accompanied by an adult at all times.
